Prof. dr hab. inż. Monika A. Kusiak, IGF PAS
Geologist, isotope geochemist.
She studies the origins of the Earth, using a variety of isotopic techniques on accessory minerals.
She has taken part in many polar expeditions to e.g. Antarctica, Greenland, Labrador and Spitsbergen.
Dr Adam Nawrot, IGF PAS
A polar explorer, wildlife lover, and geomorphologist.
His interests focus on processes shaping the Earth’s surface, the flow of matter and water balance of Arctic catchments, and the influence of abiotic factors on mountain and polar ecosystems.
Participant of many scientific expeditions to Svalbard. He overwintered twice at the Polish Polar Station Hornsund.
Prof. Wojciech Miloch, UiO
Physicist. Works on ionospheric physics and plasma physics.
Associated with polar regions and space exploration since his studies. Currently professor at the University of Oslo, Norway, where he studies the aurorae, the dynamics of the higher atmosphere.
He leads many research projects, including an ERC Consolidator Grant on space weather in polar regions. Participated in many expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctica.
